Something huge has been on the horizon for quite some time and our Team is super excited to announce to our amazing and supportive Community that the highly anticipated rebrand is finally here!! onG.social is now……
SoMee, Social Media Redefined!
In 2013 we launched a Delaware company, OneName Global, Inc. and began building a social media platform that we later launched online at https://onG.social
The idea was simple, we wanted people to achieve more together through social media and capitalize on the content and activity THEY generate online. We wanted THEM to be able to have a choice of when and how their data was shared and monetized (If they so decided!). ONG has always been the acronym of our parent company OneName Global and at the heart of the brand, but the meaning has not always been obvious to new followers exactly how ONG ties in to the brand and social media.
So while we were busy building a completely new, blockchain enabled, social media platform (that we recently launched at https://onename.social ), we went to work on brand alignment and rebranding initiatives.
We began by polling our 10,000+ Telegram members with different name/rebranding options and once the voting was complete the answer was resoundingly clear that SoMee was the winning name/rebrand choice for the community! Once we had an awesome name that resonated with our community we needed a well designed logo and rebrand to go with it, so we ran an international design contest that allowed hundreds of top graphic designers to submit branding and logo design options for consideration.
Literally hundreds of designs poured in, so we spent many hours analyzing and discussing the different options. Once we were able to narrow it down to the top ten designs we voted with our internal team and board of advisors on the final selection that you see before you now:
SoMee offers a name, well designed logo and brand that is now clearly connected to social media and that exudes a happy, snappy, fun, zen look and feel that is professional and positive.
SoMee is all about your data, your privacy and your ability to monetize social media. Yes, you can say that SoMee is all about you. SoMee is redefining the social media experience utilizing blockchain technology, cryptocurrency rewards and decentralized features that ultimately empower community members with the power of choice and maximized value when using social media.

As for the cryptocurrency rewards, we have the best of both worlds by keeping the ONG cryptocurrency active on the SoMee.social platform and therefore the original connection to our corporate brand and vision of achieving more together.
This is a big step forward for social media in general and a big step forward for our community. We are absolutely thrilled that after many months of hard work that our team is able to bring this together for our new brand….. SoMee, Social Media Redefined found online at: https://SoMee.social
MOVING FORWARD….Both onG.Social and onename.social will now be consolidated into one site: https://SoMee.social.
If you have been using onename.social you will be able to log into SoMee.social as you usually do. If you have been using onG.social you will be prompted to change your password and will see a message that looks something like this:
MOBILE apps will still be found inside of the IOS and Android App stores by searching onename.social until the APP stores update the name to SoMee, so for a short time you can try searching for one or the other or both to see what shows up. Ultimately SoMee will be the only name to search the app store with.
WHILE WE TRANSITION the rebrand you will still be able to search for both the IOS and Android apps inside of the app stores as onename.social OR until they update to SoMee.
SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS will slowly transition from our onG_social accounts to those @SoMeeOfficial (New official handle for all social channels for SoMee).
This won’t happen all at once for obvious reasons we will post to both for some time and transition to @SoMeeOfficial channels on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram, etc.
